Salads form a part of our meals a couple of times in a week if not every
day.
We tossed this with the available
ingredients in the kitchen and the experiment turned out amazing.
Need something healthy yet tasty
on the plate? Try this out.
Ingredients
2 cup Broccoli cut into eatable
pieces
1 cup bean sprouts
Water for boiling
1/4th tsp salt
For the dressing
6 tbsp sour cream
2 pods of garlic
1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
Smoked paprika
Salt to taste
½ tsp Lemon juice
Parmesan cheese for Garnish
Procedure
In a pan boil cups of water. Add
salt. Pour into it the washed broccoli florets along with bean sprouts. Cover
with lid and let it boil for 5-7 min. Turn off the gas and let it rest with lid
covered for another 5min. Drain the water and keep these boiled veggies aside.
In a bowl add the sour cream,
finely chopped garlic, olive oil, smoked paprika, salt, and lemon juice. Mix it
well making a nice smooth salad dressing.
Mix the veggies with the dressing
and garnish with parmesan cheese.
Tips
and Notes
The drained water of the veggies
can be stored as vegetable stock.
Curd or plain yogurt can be
replaced with sour cream but in that case no need to use lemon juice. Sour
cream gives the salad a nice creamy texture along with a tinge of sourness.
