Gajar Ka Halwa -NO SUGAR

December is here and Christmas is in the air! 

 

A most loved dessert presented for the upcoming festive season.

 

Here we are with a successful experiment in our kitchen of creating a healthy Gajar Ka Halwa -No Sugar but using a healthy substitute for the sweetness.

 

For all Gajar ka Halwa lovers, this version is a must-try.

 

Here is the recipe

 

Ingredients

 

2 Medium-size Carrot (grated)

3/4th cup Evaporated milk

2 tbsp Pure Ghee

½ cup Jaggery

Nuts-Sliced Almonds, Chopped cashew nuts, and Raisins for Garnish.

 

 Procedure

 

In a non-stick pan heat the Pure ghee, add the grated carrot to it.

Let it cook with an open lid for 5-7 minutes.

Add the evaporated milk to it. Let it cook for 10-15minutes on low flame.

Once the milk and carrot are incorporated well forming a thick mix, at this stage add the grated Jaggery.

Let the mixture thicken again for 5-7minutes.

Garnish with the nuts.

 

 

Tips and Notes

 

This Halwa is very healthy as carrots are good for the eyes so also the dessert is prepared without sugar. Tastes delectable.

 

Evaporated milk helps to speed up the thickening process and it being sugarless adds on to make this dessert healthier.
